Advani to present Tilak award
Union Home Minister L.K. Advani will confer the prestigious Tilak award instituted by the Lokmanya Tilak Trust on Dr. R. Chidambaram, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, at a function at Tilak Smarak Mandir tomorrow.
Advani will arrive at 11.45 a.m. and will also attend the function at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission to mark Dada Vaswani8217;s 80th birthday celebrations.
Atre bust
A bust of renowned Marathi litterateur, Acharya Atre, will be unveiled at his native place Saswad tomorrow by noted writer Ram Shevalkar.
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sharad Pawar will preside over the function organised by Acharya Atre Vikas Pratishthan as part of Acharya Atre8217;s birth centenary celebrations. Former president of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathisecretary Vijay Kolte said a regional literary meet would be held on August 12 and 13 at Saswad.
