CHANDIGARH, May 29: PUNCOM won the 33rd hot weather cricket tournament for the M L Markan Memorial Trophy after beating Punjab State Electricity Board, Patiala by 48 runs in the final at the Dhruve Pandove Stadium in Patiala today.

The main architect of their thumping win was skipper Krishan Mohan who continued with his excellent form, playing a strokefilled innings of 99.

Krishan Mohan PUNCOM was declared the best all rounder, Bharti Vij PUNCOM best bowler and Dinesh Mongia PUNCOM was the best batsman of the tournament.

PUNCOM: 258 for 5 in 45 overs Krishan Mohan 99, Dinesh Mongia 46, Obaid Kamal 24, Amit Kakria 2-40, Sandeep Kohli 2-44 beat PSEB: 210 all out in 41 overs Lakhbir Singh 40, Sukvinder Tinkoo 44, Chander Sekhar 26, Rajesh Sekhri 42, Bharti Vij 2-33, Munish Arora 3-46, Kailash Sanwal 2-36.
