PSLF castigates Badal

JALANDHAR, Dec 18: Punjab Sikh Lawyers8217; Federation today castigated Chief Minisiter P.S. Badal and his supporters for launching what they said was a tirade against the SGPC president, G.S. Tohra.

In a statement here, the federation president, Rajbir Singh, advocate said that a meeting of the federation had taken stock of the ongoing controversy among the Badal and Tohra factions. He alleged that Badal and some of his supporters had come to regard the Akali Dal as their personal property and it was mandatory that some senior leader like Tohra should speak out against such a tendency. He lashed against the Badal supporters for levelling charges of corruption against Tohra.

, Rajbir said that the federation had instead, constituted a team of five lawyers to go into the cases of corruption alleged against the Akali Government led by Badal.

He said the team would submit its report to the president.
