
KHARAR, May 12: The Punjab Education Department has ordered the suspension of joint secretary of the Punjab School Education Board PSEB Amarinder Singh Kang.
According to the sources, the joint secretary has been suspended on the charges of involvement in spurious textbooks racket, possessing more wealth than his known sources of income and misuse of power. The allegations framed against him are being probed by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau.
J. S. Sidhu, secretary of the PSEB, when contacted, confirmed the suspension of Amrinder Singh Kang. It may be recalled that Kang was also suspended earlier on similar charges during the tenure of the previous Congress government in the state but he managed to get his suspension revoked after some time. The secretary of the board was also suspended along with him, whose suspension too was revoked, later.
