Protest by medical practitioners against cane charge8217;

CHANDIGARH, May 26: Members of Medical Practitioners Association, Punjab, staged a dharna here today at the Chandigarh Housing Baord chowk to protest the quot;indiscriminate cane chargequot; over them by the city police on Monday.

A press statement issued by MPA, stated that they planned to organise dharnas regularly and also go on hunger strike. The protesting members also raised slogans against the Punjab government and appealed that their demands be immediately accepted.
