Probe into steep fees

AUGUST 6: An enquiry has been ordered in to the allegation of exorbitant fees charged by Anandilal Podar Junior College.

Greater Mumbai deputy education director J M Abhyankar told Express Newsline that he ordered an enquiry following a memorandum submitted by the Mumbai Junior College Teachers Union MJCTU on Tuesday. M R Andhalkar, the union secretary, said, 8220;The junior college students have to work in school laboratories. quot;They have no library and no staff room for their teachers. The place given by the government on rent for aided vernacular medium schools is being misused .8221;
