Usain Bolt wins men8217;s 200 metres world title

Bolt became first man since Calvin Smith to retain 200 metres world championship title.

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt today won the gold medal in men8217;s 200 metres category at the World Championships in Daegu,South Korea,to put the nightmare of his 100 meters disqualification behind him.

According to the BBC,Bolt exploded from the blocks six days after producing that famous false start before stretching away down the home straight to win in 19.40 seconds.

USAs Walter Dix took silver in 19.70 seconds, while France8217;s Christophe Lemaitre took bronze in 19.80 seconds.

I made a mistake, but I came back to show the world that I8217;m still the best. Im not a legend yet. Im on my way,but Ive got to go to London and blow peoples minds,to go to the Olympics and do something extraordinary, Bolt said after the race.

The 25-year-old also became the first man since Calvin Smith in 1987 to retain a 200 metres world championship title.
