Russian President Dmitry Medvedev,who is set to meet his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao on Monday,is expected to emphasise on the cooperation between the two nations in blocs like RIC and BRIC,which also involve India,among other bilateral and global issues.
8220;It is expected that special attention will be paid to the prospects of interaction in the formats of G-20,Shanghai Cooperation Organisation,Brazil-Russia-India-China BRIC and Russia-India-China RIC,8221; the Kremlin said ahead of Monday8217;s summit in Beijing.
Prior to Medvedev8217;s China visit,scholars from Russia,India and China at their 10th trilateral conference here felt
that an important key to progress of RIC is its 8216;no confrontation8217; character.
8220;A tripartite partnership is not an alliance and not directed against any other country,pursuing the basic objective of strengthening international peace,development and prosperity of each of the three countries.
RIC on Sunday is an established and recognised format and a visible factor in the gradual formation of a multipolar world,8221; scholars and experts of the Russian Science Academy8217;s Institute of Far Eastern Studies Moscow,Institute of Chinese Studies Delhi and China Institute of International Studies Beijing declared at their trilateral conference on September 20-21.
Medvedev arrived in Chinese city of Dalian on Sunday on a three-day official visit and the main talks are scheduled for tomorrow at his summit meeting with Hu in Beijing. At the end of his visit on September 28,Medvedev is scheduled to travel to Shanghai.
The two neighbouring nuclear giants,which are undergoing dramatic changes in their bilateral relations after decades of confrontation in the Soviet era,are also expected to sign a declaration on further deepening their bilateral partnership and intensifying strategic interaction.
