Etuale Manu Samoa Tuilagi is a Samoan-born professional rugby player. He has represented teams such as British and Irish Lions,England Saxons,Leicester Tigers and England. England8217;s 6ft tall centre, also called the human bowling ball for his willingness to get into a scrap on the field,is no stranger to controversies and has graced the tabloid pages on numerous occasions.

In 2010,authorities discovered Tuilagi had come to the UK with his family on a six-month holiday visa about six years ago and stayed on without permission. He was following in the footsteps of his brothers Freddie,Henry,Andy,Alesana and Vavae. He was given a work permit shortly after.

He had been formally warned by police and fined 3,000 by England rugby officials after leaping off a ferry in Auckland following the 2011 Rugby World Cup in which the off-field conduct of some of England8217;s players prompted front-page headlines.

Earlier in the same tournament,he had been fined 4,800 by the International Rugby Board for wearing an unapproved mouthguard carrying the name of a sponsor.

He issued an apology yesterday to British Prime Minister David Cameron after making a bunny ears sign behind his head during a visit by the triumphant British and Irish Lions squad to Downing Street.
