BCCI responsible for debacle
Former Pakistan Test captain Mushtaq Mohammad has blamed the BCCI for the debacle of the Indian team in England. The BCCI is very much responsible for poor planning of this tour. They thought their cricketers were machines and are being treated like machines. They the players can8217;t play day in day out, they are human beings and they do get tired both physically and mentally and they do need rest, he said.
It is not only surprising but very disappointing too. You got to have enthusiasm to compete in any kind of competition. Mentally and physically, they are very tired and it is showing. You can tell a lot by how a player thinks and reacts to different situations, but due to tiredness they have no answer to England.
Feeling sorry for Duncan: Flintoff
Andrew Flintoff has questioned the fitness level of the visiting team, joking that some of the India players were popping out of their shirts. India looked like they8217;d got their kit out of the garage. They were all in different gear.
Flintoff said he felt sorry for Duncan Fletcher. I used to do it with Duncan Fletcher. I bet you he8217;s tearing his hair out. They were clapping everything down: the keeper was missing them, the slips were dropping them.
