Dane Tine Baun,33,became the oldest All-England womens winner when she beat Thailands Ratchanok Intanon 21-14 16-21 21-10. Victory meant Baun also ended her career on a high with a third All England title before immediately retiring from the game. Baun said: I had a dream of being in the final,but I didnt expect it but I am still definitely retiring.
Second seed Chen Long of China upset Malaysias number one seed Lee Chong Wei 21-17 21-18 to win the mens crown. In the final of the mens doubles,Chinas Liu Xiaolong and Qiu Zihan overcame Japanese pair Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa 21-11 21-9.
Meanwhile,Chinese pair Yu Yang and Wang Xiaoli won the womens championships seven months after being disqualified from the Olympics as they beat compatriots Zhao Yunlei and Cheng Shu 21-18 21-10.
Yu had announced her retirement after the duo were one of four pairs disqualified from London 2012 for attempting to lose matches to get favourable draws. Fans in London had booed the players of the doubles match between Yu Yang and Wang Xiaoli and Koreans Jung Kyung-eun and Kim Ha-na,as the former were accused of throwing the match.
