Ballesteros says his brain tumour made him suffer like a dog

After fighting through four operations,a bout of depression and fears of going blind, the legendary golfer says he is 90 pc recovered.

Spanish golfer Seve Ballesteros says his brain tumour left him suffering like a dog.

The legendary golfer will start his fifth session of chemotherapy this week, but after fighting through four operations,a bout of depression and fears of going blind,Ballesteros says he is 90 per cent recovered and even playing golf again.

I have suffered like a dog but the fact I was a professional sportsman and used to competing and fighting helped me. The worst moment was when I returned home and realised my limitations. I couldnt see from the left eye,I almost couldnt walk, The Sun quoted him,as saying.

I was starting to think about the future and started feeling very afraid. I felt useless. At that moment there was a setback I became depressed, for which I had treatment. It was like a race that doesnt have a distance or a goal. Now I am perfect. Im alive. I can do things. I speak,I can reason. I have had a lot of luck, he added.

I have already recovered 90 per cent, and I can do any kind of sport running, swimming, rowing, and I am also hitting some short golf shots. I see everything in a different way. I appreciate everything more, he said.
