Pakistans victory came much earlier than was expected on Day Four of their second Test against New Zealand,as Mohammad Asif 5/67 and leggie Danish Kaneria 3/94 cleaned up the Kiwi middle-order despite a valiant effort by Ross Taylor.

Pakistan won the Test by a 141-run margin to level the series and now go to Napier for the third Test beginning from December 11.

A Kiwi loss was evident but Taylor,who fell three runs short of a century. Left-arm pacer Mohammad Aamer chipped in with two wickets.

OBrien to retire

New Zealand fast bowler Ian OBrien will retire from international cricket at the end of the third and final Test at Napier and move base to UK where he will play county cricket fir Middlesex and settle down to be with his wife.
