Prashant Jaggi nets three

NEW DELHI, January 15: Gurmeet and Appacho scored a goal each in Vasant Valley School8217;s stunning victory against five times champion Govt Boys Senior Secondary School, Moti Bagh I, in their Pool D match in the 12th Limca Soccer tournament at the Modern School ground here on Thursday.

Earlier, S S Khalsa School, Lajpat Nagar earned full points crushing Air Force Bal Bharti School, Lodhi Road 7-1. Khalsa boys took the lead in the second minute through Prashant Jaggi while Naveen Tanwar increased the margin in the 16th minute. A minute later Prashant scored his second goal of the day making it 3-0.

Sunil Rawat stepped in to contribute to a 4-0 lead. Finally Air Force School8217;s Dinesh reduced the margin, but that was all he could do against a confident Khalsa.

Prashant came back to score his third goal, while Naveen Tanwar filled his scoresheet too with his second goal and the team8217;s seventh for a convincing win.
