
22-year-old man stabbed
A 22-year-old man was stabbed when he was returning to his Jahangirpuri house on Thursday night. He is reported to be out of danger now. The incident took place around 8.30 p.m. when the victim, Sanjay, was returning home along with his friend Deepak. They apparently saw two men in their early twenties talking to a girl in a dark bylane near their shop.
The three walked off after Sanjay and Deepak asked them to do so, but the two men returned about half an hour later with another friend. The third man reportedly stabbed Sanjay in the chest and above one of his knees on the instance of his associates.
Three men steal jewellery, money
Three men reportedly stole Rs 15,000, a pair of gold earrings and silver anklets from a Samaipur Badli house on Thursday night. The police say that Ramphal and his wife Kamla were sleeping when the men entered the house in the Jeevan Park area.
Country-made liquor seized
Police Control Room staff stationed at the Khazoori Khas intersection nabbed a man and recovered 90 pouches of country-made liquor from him during one of their surprise checks early on Friday morning. A case has been registered against Sandeep under the Excise Act.
Cyclist run over
An unidentified cyclist was run over by a bus plying on route number 320 near the Foota Road intersection in the Jagatpuri area on Thursday night. The police have arrested the bus driver, Jaswant Singh.
