PMT to get Petit land

With the Union Cabinet deciding to repeal the Urban Land Ceiling and Regulation Act, 1976, the Pune Municipal Transport PMT authorities stand to gain possession of a plot admeasuring about 4,000 square metres at Petit Estate for its long-pending plan of setting up a bus terminus near the Pune Railway Station.

The demarcation of the plot had been completed and it would be formally handed over to the PMT on Thursday, according to a PMT official.
