PMC attaches 19 properties

PUNE, MAY 19: The Pune Municipal Corporation PMC attached 19 properties including the offices of a Block Development Officer of the Zilla Parishad and the Pune Zilla Mazdoor Sangh for failing to pay property tax arrears.The Block Development Officer had failed to pay arrears amounting to Rs 2,73,952, while the Pune Zilla Mazdoor Sangh had to pay Rs 1,52,640 in arrears, PMC officials said.

The civic body recovered Rs 14,31,738 and arrears from 45 property owners. The amount includes Rs 7,19,343 collected from property owners in the merged villages. An amount of Rs 3,11,936 was collected in arrears from the property owners in Dhankawadi alone.

Among the others whose properties were attached are Vikram Ghole Rs 44,364, Shankar Ramchandra Brothers Rs 91,617, Jagtap Keshav B Rs 52,968, Waghmare Ashok H Rs 3,48,121, J K Builders Rs 56,225, Manish S Shah Rs 1,19,482, R B Shaikh Rs 1,01,264, Property Estate Management Rs 4,56,508, R H Patil Rs 28,752, V H Patil Rs 25,725, C H Patil Rs17,068, G S Gokhale Rs 24,654, Arjuna S Buland Rs 22,960, R B Patel Rs 39,265 and M P Patel Rs 21,030.
