January 2026 Bank Calendar: Check the complete city-wise list of bank holidays across India as per RBI guidelines, including state and national holidays.
January Bank Holiday 2026 List: Bank holidays in India are designated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), following the Negotiable Instruments Act, RTGS holidays, and a selection of regional and national observances.
Several bank holidays are scheduled for January to mark notable observances such as the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Makar Sankranti/Magh Bihu, Republic Day, and more.
There are 16 bank holidays scheduled for January 2026, according to the RBI’s calendar for the fiscal year 2026, in addition to, mandatory weekly days off on the second and fourth Saturdays, as well as Sundays.
Bank branches across Indian cities may close on these holidays, disrupting customer transactions and services.
