Sam Pitroda, the WorldTel CEO who gave Indian telecom a positive health report earlier this week, was at the Planning Commission on Friday to discuss the information technology and communications sectors.
The National E-Governance Action Plan (NEGAP), one of the top ten priority infotech projects of the UPA government figured in Pitroda’s discussions with Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia.
Officials said Pitroda would be part of a future day-long discussion on the NEGAP, which is to be implemented by the Department of Information Technology in consultation with concerned ministries.
