
Sam Pitroda, the WorldTel CEO who gave Indian telecom a positive health report earlier this week, was at the Planning Commission on Friday to discuss the information technology and communications sectors.
The National E-Governance Action Plan NEGAP, one of the top ten priority infotech projects of the UPA government figured in Pitroda8217;s discussions with Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia.
Officials said Pitroda would be part of a future day-long discussion on the NEGAP, which is to be implemented by the Department of Information Technology in consultation with concerned ministries.
