CHANDIGARH, July 26: Sarees and dress materials in cotton and silk from various parts of the country are among the attractions at the exhibition-cum-sale being held at the Phulkari Emporium in Sector 17 here.

The exhibition, which will continue up to July 31, offers a discount of up to 50 per cent on various products. A wide range of sarees, silk material, “lehangas”, “lachas” and suits are on display. Suits and “dupattas” with “phulkari” and “kantha” work for both formal and informal wear are also available.

There is also a range of sarees in chiffon, Bengal cotton, and “chanderi.” Of special interest are chikan suits from Lucknow, there is also a range of designer suits. A bridal collection with heavy sarees, suits and “lehangas” is also on sale.

There are embroidered “kora” silk sarees priced between Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,000. The brocade wedding sarees are priced between Rs 4,000 and Rs 10,000.

There is also a collection of “baghs” at the exhibition and a variety of cushions, bed-sheets and bed-covers.
