Just before the main road, there is a deserted stretch and this is where the incident took place. A Maruti car, overtook her and blocked her way.. Four youths got out of the car and snatched the bag containing the cash from her.”

They fled with the money. The police have registered a case but have not made any arrests so far. The police said that since Desai used to got to the bank every day at this time, the robbers probably knew her routine well. However, they said that this did not look like the handiwork of the employees and most probably the youths were from Haryana.
