Personnel problem

Prahlad K Basu, Chairman of the Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises BRPSE, is an extremely unhappy man. Basu8217;s unhappiness does not stem from whether the Government is heeding or not heeding his recommendations on turning around ailing PSUs. The former Union Secretary8212;who enjoys the rank of a Minister of State as BRPSE chairman8212;wants the Government to change his secretary B S Meena. But there has been no response to the request. The problem for the Government is that this would be the third such replacement since the board was created barely three years ago.
