CHANDIGARH, April 30: Employees of Pepsu Roadways Transport Corporation (PRTC) blocked traffic for about two hours tonight demanding action against a passenger for alleged eve-teasing and misbehaviour. According to police sources, the person identified as Satpal working as Deputy Superintendent with Inspector General (Operations), Punjab, has been arrested. The blockade began at around 7.30 p.m. near the Tribune Chowk with the PRTC men parking buses in the middle of the road. The traffic had to be diverted to other roads.Sources say that when a woman passenger on a Rajpura-bound bus asked a co-passenger to vacate her seat, he allegedly used "foul language". The infuriated woman complained to the conductor. When asked by the conductor to get off the bus, the person, allegedly inebriated, "threatened" the conductor and accused him of stealing his money and his identity card. This led to the blockade. The matter was sorted out around 9.30 p.m. after DSP Surjit Singh intervened.
