WASHINGTON, MARCH 30: American defence will soon be equipped with advanced devices to perform dangerous tasks on the battlefront so as to minimise casualties to its military force, according to a top government official.

8220;The devices range from six-inch micro air vehicles to ground-travelling robots and sensor-loaded space satellites for battlefield use,8221; James M Mcmichael, manager of the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency here told mediapersons yesterday.

Director of DARPA Larry Lynn recently told the Congress, 8220;these systems will use the most advanced technologies to let machines perform today8217;s most hazardous missions, thus minimising casualties to the military8217;s most important resource, its people.8221;
