Pension distributed to poor women

About 800 poor women were given monthly pension along with ration at 136th pension distribution function held at Shri Gyan Sthal Mandir Sabha here on Sunday. Jagdish Bajaj and Rajnish Ahuja, president and convenor of the sabha, respectively, were present on the occasion.

Nalindan and Giri Mahraj donated a sum of Rs 5,100 to the Mandir while Hakam Singh Gyaspura, mayor of Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, announced a Rs 1,000 donation. Satish Soi, principal of St Bawra School, and Raj Makkar donated sums of Rs 1,100 and Rs 2,100, respectively, to the temple. Dr Harvinder Singh examined the patients free-of-cost. The needy women were donated blankets, shawls and woolen clothes.
