Bofors is a non-issue, says Laloo
NEW DELHI: Rashtriya Janata Dal president Laloo Prasad Yadav, today sought to make light of Bofors as an issue in the coming Lok Sabha elections, saying all import deals involved payment of kickbacks.
Yadav said he had himself raised the Bofors issue in the past but now found that virtually all import deals had an element of payment of quot;commissionquot;. Yadav said let there be a discussion on the Bofors issue as also on other scams. In a lighter vein, he remarked quot;BJP president Advani, could act as a convener for such a discussion.quot;
