Pakistani maritime security forces have arrested 39 Indian fishermen and impounded seven boats for illegally entering Pakistan’s territorial waters in the Arabian Sea, a security official said on Tuesday.
The arrests were made on Monday about 25 nautical miles inside Pakistan’s exclusive economic zone, said Lieutenant Nadir Mateen Afridi.
“We first gave them a warning to turn back and when they did not listen, we had to arrest them,” he said.
