Pak troops yet to withdraw from LoC 8212; Govt

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 16: India said today Pakistan had not pulled out any troops deployed along the Line of Control LoC and described the remarks of a Pakistan army spokesman that withdrawal of additional troops from the LoC, including the Kargil sector, had been completed as only an exercise in obfuscation8217; .

Replying to a question on the media reports in this regard, an official spokesman said General Pervez Musharraf had on October 17 last announced a withdrawal of troops only from the international border between India and Pakistan and Pakistani officials had clarified later that there was to be no withdrawal of troops from the LoC.
