Paes-Damm advances

Fifth seeds Leander Paes and Martin Damm advanced to the third round of the men8217;s doubles at Wimbledon today, when they struggled through a four setter that lasted more than three hours.

The Indo-Czech pair defeated James Auckland Britain and Stephen Huss Australia 7-6 7-4, 7-6 7-4, 3-6, 7-6 7-3.

India8217;s Shivika Burman lost to German Dominice Ripoll 6-3, 6-2 in the qualifying round of the junior girls8217; event yesterday.
