CHENNAI, July 27: Karnataka won the overall championship 122 points in the senior section when they pipped the hosts Tamil Nadu by a solitary point.

Kerala juniors retained the overall title with 120 points on the concluding day of the South India Powerlifting Championships conducted by the Universal Health And Fitness Centre at the Kalaivanar Arangam on Sunday.

However, TN won both the senior and junior men8217;s team championships, with 132 points 66 each, while Kerala women juniors, 62 points and Karnataka women seniors, 66 points claimed the top honours.
