lYON, June 25: Japan and Jamaica hope to salvage little pride and a point from their encounter tomorrow before bidding farewell to their first World Cup.

There is little at stake but self-esteem after the Group H8217; debutantes both suffered predictable defeats at the hands of group favourites Argentina and Croatia.

Jamaica at least managed to score in their 3-1 loss to Croatia through Robbie Earle who plies his trade at South London Club, Wimbledon in England8217;s Premier League. But that was followed by humiliation in the 5-0 hammering by Argentina.

Japan, on the other hand, are still seeking that elusive first goal after two creditable 0-1 defeats which brought them much praise but nothing concrete to show for their efforts.

Possible teams: Japan: 20-Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi; 2-Akira Narahashi; 4-Masami Ihara captain; 5-Norio Omura; 17-Yutaka Akita; 3-Naoki Soma; 10-Hiroshi Nanami; 8-Hidetoshi Nakata; 6-Motohiro Yamaguchi; 18-Shoji Jo; 9-Masashi Nakayama.

Jamaica: 1-Warren Barrett; 5-Ian Goodison;15-Ricardo Gardener; 19-Frank Sinclair; 2-Stephen Malcolm; 17-Onandi Lowe; 6-Fitzroy Simpson; 11-Theodore Whitmore captain; 3-Christopher Dawes; 18-Deon Burton; 22-Paul Hall
