VADODARA, March 22: Yet another city-based company has come in the firing line of the Regional Provident Fund Commissionerate. The commissionerate filed a police case of breach of trust against Messers Diamines and Chemicals Limited for failure to deposit the employees8217; share worth Rs 6,19,603.

In an FIR lodged under section 406 of the IPC on Monday, enforcement officer PF inspector Krishnakant Shah said the company had not deposited share of 130 employees during the period between April 1998 and January 1999 despite deductions from monthly salary.

On March 19, the Commissionerate had filed a case against Sarabhai Group of Companies for similar reasons.

Vyas told Express Newsline that the act of Messers Diamines and Chemicals Limited is breach of trust and a cognisable offence under section of 406 of IPC.

There are 3,058 establishments under the sub-regional office which covers Vadodara and Panchmahals districts. Vyas said currently a survey is being undertaken to know which industries are flouting the norms.
