One held for graft

NEW DELHI, August 11: A DDA Junior Engineer has been arrested for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a PCO owner. The owner said he had been running a PCO in the open space near a building in Safdarjung Enclave since 1984 under the handicapped persons quota.

During 1997, he shifted this PCO to another place in the same block and opened a photo studio. The JE had visited the shop and had threatened him to demolish the studio for encroachment if he did not pay Rs 5,000.
