Nutrition week concludes

PANCHKULA, Sept 6: The Food and Nutrition Board, Government of India, celebrated the National Nutrition Week which began on September 1 and concludes tommorow. The week was celebrated in coordination with Child Development Officer CDPO, Barwala and Directorate of Health Services, Haryana, at the ICDS block in Barwala.

Different activities were carried out in Khatauli, Trilokpur, Parwala and Barwala villages, among others. Special lectures on nutrition and health care, particularly for the vulnerable groups children below 3 yrs and pregnant, nursing mothers and various competitions among Anganwadi workers of the block were also organised.

The competitions included preparing low-cost nutritious recipes, slogan writing and poster-making.
