Now, CII comes up with Task Force for Vadodara146;s development

In his letter to Shukla, Garg said the CII Task Force on physical infrastructure is keen to work with VMC for bringing about effective Public Private Partnership PPP for upgrading the physical infrastructure of the city. 8220;The Task Force has embarked upon the process of bringing about a consensus and implementation on various infrastructural needs of the city,8221; Garg said in his letter.

He told Newsline: 8220;It was in fact a major boost for us since we want people from all quarters to join us in the development of the city. We have had a detailed discussion on the issue of development and in February we would have an important seminar in which several issues concerning the development of the city would be floated for discussion. Such initiatives would give us a fair idea about implementing different developmental projects.8221;

According to CII, there are innumerable issues that are plaguing the city, be it of lighting the city8217;s corridors, power supply position or even expediting road, drainage and water works.

Garg said in his letter: 8220;No voice has been raised, or even if it is raised, it is falling on deaf ears. Primarily, there is no organised control forum, which can regularly bring about a dialogue between the well-wishers and the implementers. The need is to make life on and off the road a pleasant one where everyone, whether the citizens or the regulators, is accountable for the same, and we believe this can come about with a dedicated endeavour of all concerned.8221;

To enable this to become a reality, the CII has invited the VMC to join in for the Citizen8217;s Conclave 8212; a round table discussion to be attended by eminent personalities.
