JAIPUR, SEPT 4: Filing of nomination papers began on Monday for bypoll to the Dausa Lok Sabha seat and Lunkaransar Assembly seat in Rajasthan, scheduled for September 29, a spokesman of the Chief electoral office said.

The last date for filing nominations is September 11. Scrutiny would be held a day later and the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is September 14.

Dausa parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of senior Congress leader Rajesh Pilot in a road accident on June 11, while Lunkaransar Assembly seat fell vacant after the death of another Congress candidate Bheem Sen Choudhary on March 15, this year.

Meanwhile, both the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP were holding parleys to decide names of candidates for the bypoll.
