Culture Minister Ambika Soni is eager to give up her government post and come back to the organisation. But she is not going to offer her resignation yet as desired by her detractors. According to her close aides, Soni will not capitulate until she proves her conduct as a minister in the controversial Ram Sethu affidavit was above board and as per rules and regulations. At the other end of the crisis, her ministerial colleague, Law Minister H R Bhardwaj, whose appointee Additional Solicitor-General Gopal Subramaniam had prepared the affidavit, has been swearing by his belief in God of late. He has been reciting Sanskrit shlokas from epics to reporters in support of his assertion that he is a very devout man and he had no knowledge of the contents of the affidavit.
