Nearly 800 students participated in an inter-faith dialogue held at Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Public School, as part of the Moral Week celebrations on Wednesday.

Various persons from religious and social organisations including Ex-Mayor Harjinder Kaur, Jama Masjid Imam Mulana Ajmal Khan, Administrator of the Simla-Chandigarh Diocese Father Thomas, Brahmrishi College of Education principal Dr Manisha and former secretary general, National Assembly of Bahai8217;s in India, Professor Anil Sarwal, expressed their views on the topic.

Harjinder Kaur said, 8220;There is no religion in the world which negates values of peace, equality, justice, truth, compassion, human dignity and love.8221;

Quoting Mahatama Gandhi, Father Thomas explained the many facets of love for humanity propagated by Christianity, which Mahatama Gandhi used to tell his followers about after reading the Bible.nbsp;

Mulana Ajmal Khan, said human beings can be saved of many evils and acts of violence if they remember that some supreme power is keeping an account of all our activities.

Dr Manisha talked about inculcating virtues of love for not only human beings, but also for all the living and non-living beings on earth.
