8226; This refers to your editorial 8216;Sourav must go8217;, IE, September 24. Greg Chappell is a very dedicated coach and evidently business-like. He is paid for the job, and he wants to do it honestly 8212; unlike most of us. The 8216;8216;chalta hai8217;8217; attitude is in our blood. I certainly like Ganguly8217;s batting but not his attitude. If you want the Indian team to succeed, then respect Chappell and his views.

Sourav, with grace
8226; It is time for Sourav to call it a day and step down gracefully. His arrogant
attitude both on and off the field is deplorable. He does not have the sporting spirit to lead his team to glory. In the past, too, most of the cricketing giants have waited before they retired ungracefully. He must not repeat history.

Go, Captain
8226; I think you are being kind to Ganguly in your editorial IE, September 24 and your words reflect a grace quite unlike the gracelessness he has been apt to show in the past couple of weeks. While it is true that we have won our first non-subcontinental test series in almost 20 years, let us not forget that it was against a very depleted Zimbabwe. So I agree wholeheartedly that Ganguly should go although I am less inclined to stand up and cheer when he does.

Fight it out!
8226; There is all this hoopla about Ganguly not being graceful. The real question is since when was grace Ganguly8217;s virtue. It was never his virtue when he got under the skin of the Australians and won the test series against the world8217;s best team at that time. Ganguly still believes he has a role to play, and he has shown time and again that his belief in himself and his team, even under dire circumstances, has worked. There is no reason why it won8217;t work now. How many pundits predicted India would reach the final of the World Cup after receiving the worst kind of drubbing in New Zealand. It was Ganguly8217;s belief that the team could succeed then, and it did. He went out his way to support the newcomers and that8217;s exactly how he should defend himself. If he believes he has a role to play in Indian team he should fight it out, damn the etiquette!

Shh, be quiet
8226; It8217;s funny to read Raj Singh Dungarpur8217;s comments on the entire cricket controversy. I respect Chappell8217;s views and at the same time believe that there must be Sourav8217;s side of the story too. But who is Dungarpur?

Missing gentlemen
8226; No doubt Greg Chappell is a hard task master. When he was captain, the Aussies knew they must perform or there would be no place for them in the team. He asks for no quarters and gives no quarters. Perform or make way. That is the way it is and that is what we should believe in. No Indian player leaves gracefully. That was done when cricket was a gentleman8217;s game. Today it is more about making money. Not a few bucks here and there, but by the bucketful.
