PUNE, Jan 1: Assistant director of National Institute of Virology Dr Arvind Roy has filed a criminal complaint against an assistant director and the staff of the institute for allegedly stealing important documents and his research papers from his office.

Although the theft occurred two years ago, Dr Roy filed the complaint yesterday with the Bund Garden police station after meticulously preparing the draft of the complaint. Dr Roy filed the complaint against assistant director Dr Kalyan Banerjee, and Dr M M Gore, and other staff members alleging that they entered his office between April 4 and 8, 1996 and stolen important office documents, and research papers.

Forty four-year-old Rajendra Neelkant Nizampurkar, a resident of Pradhikaran Nigdi, was run over by a truck near the Lokmanya Tilak chowk on the Pune- Mumbai highway on Thursday night.
