Despite the LJP8217;s assertion against ties with the JD U for the Assembly polls, JD U parliamentary party leader Nitish Kumar today said his party was trying to bring anti-Laloo forces on one platform under the leadership of the LJP chief, Ram Vilas Paswan.
8216;8216;We are not bothered about the number of seats. Even if the JD U manages to win more seats, it will support Paswan for chief ministership,8217;8217; Kumar told reporters.
The senior JD U leader stressed that there was 8216;8216;no rationale8217;8217; in contesting elections separately and if the anti-Laloo forces wanted to throw the RJD out of power, 8216;8216;all of us should join hands8217;8217;.
Paswan had yesterday dismissed any chance of a poll pact with the JD U in Bihar as it was not ready to sever ties with the BJP8212;the condition laid by the LJP to enter into an alliance. He said the Congress had lost its identity in Bihar and was playing second fiddle to the ruling RJD.
