All hopes of government formation in Bihar were dashed with JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar blaming LJP leader Ramvilas Paswan for the deadlock, saying he was withdrawing all efforts in this regard.

A day before the JD(U) meets at a two-day national executive, Kumar, in Patna, blamed Paswan’s ‘‘intransigence over taking support from non-RJD parties’’.

He added that JD(U) would form a government without Paswan with the 92 NDA and 17 Independent MLAs. The numbers, he said, would increase.

He even accused Paswan of insulting him last week.
