Nikam admitted to ICU after food poisoning

Special public prosecutor in the 1993 serial blasts case Ujjwal Nikam was admitted in the ICU of a hospital in Mumbai due to food poisonining, family sources said.

8220;He had been travelling for some time and has been suffering from food poisoning for the last two-three days. Due to this, he was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital late last night,8221; the sources said.

Nikam is presently undergoing medical tests but is out of danger, they added.

He was instrumental in securing conviction of 100 of the 123 accused persons, including actor Sanjay Dutt, in the case.
