23 Cong rebels shown the door

SHIMLA: In a punitive action on Monday, the Congress expelled 23 rebels from primary membership for six years. These candidates were contesting from 21 Assembly segments for the upcoming polls . Six of those expelled belong to former CM Virbhadra Singh’s faction while five belong to the camp led by PCC chief Vidya Stokes. The rest are fence-sitters. CWC member R.K. Dhawan said the rebels refused to withdraw in support of the official candidates, so they were expelled.
