CHANDIGARH, July 13: Manoj Kumar, allegedly involved in the killing of an S.A.S. Nagar resident Manjit Singh in Sector 10 market, was further remanded to judicial custody till July 23 by UT Judicial Magistrate (Ist Class) Tejwinder Singh, here today.

Nephew of Haryana Home Minister Mani Ram Godara, the accused was reportedly arrested from Panchkula by the Chandigarh Police under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code on June 8 after Manjit Singh died in the cross fire outside Hotel Mountview.

According to the prosecution, an altercation between the two groups at a club a few months had resulted in the firing. The victim was in a Maruti car, while the "assailants" were driving a Zen.
