MUMBAI, June 10: The Indo-Arab Society will organise a seminar on `Situation today in West and Central Asia’ on Thursday, at 5.45 p.m at the Bombay Presidency Radio Club, Budrani hall, first floor, Colaba. Dr P M Kamath, former professor of international politics, University of Mumbai, Dr Lionel Fernandes, senior lecturer, department of civics and politics, University of Mumbai and professor Sheel Asopka, head, department of political science, university of Rajasthan-Jaipur, will participate in the seminar. Padmashri Homi Taleyarkhan will preside over.
Geeta for youth
Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, the youth wing of Chinmaya Mission, has organised a three-day camp for youth in the age group of 16-28 years. The camp titled `Geeta for youth – a key to happiness’, will be held from June 13 to 15, 1997, at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Powai park drive, Saki Vihar road, Mumbai 72. It will be inaugurated by actor Anupam Kher. Swami Tejomayanand, head of the Chinmaya Mission, will conduct the camp.
Photo exhibition
n TO celebrate its tenth anniversary, Dinodia Picture Agency has arranged an exhibition of interactive photography from June 10 to 29, 1997. The exhibition will be open from 11 a.m to 7 p.m at Piramal gallery, National Centre of Performing Arts. Photographs of 23 leading Indian photographers will be displayed at the gallery. The organisers have also arranged a caption contest for the visitors and the winners will be awarded with a frame photograph.
Awards functionpThe Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce and Industry has organised an awards distribution function for successful women entrepreneurs on June 16, 1997 at the chamber’s Babasaheb Dahanukar hall, Oricon house, sixth floor, Dubhash marg, Fort. Nine women will be awarded on the occasion, said a press release.

Lotus Cyber Education Pvt Ltd and the US-based World Book Inc today launched the cd-rom multimedia version of the 22-volume World Book encyclopedia in India.
Lotus Ltd also announced that the two disc version would be given free of cost to all schools in India.
