Services exam main results

The results of the State Services Main Examination held in October 1997 by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission have been declared.

The interviews of the successful candidates will be held on the following days: Mumbai 8211; April 16, 17 and 20 to 24, Pune 8211; April 20 tp 24, 27, 29 and 30, May 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, Aurangabad 8211; April 20 to 24, 27, 29, and 30, Nagpur 8211; May 6 and 8, 1998.

The merit list has been displayed on notice boards at the office of the Commission in Mumbai and Collectors8217; offices at Aurangabad, Nagpur and Pune.Though the call letters have already been despatched. For details contact the MPSC office at Mumbai or call on 2675742.

Interview workshop

The State Institute for Administrative Careers has organised a free interview workshop from April 14, 1998 for the successful candidates of the Civil Services Main Examination held by the Union Public Service Commission in November, 1997.

SIA8217;s holiday tours

Singapore Airlines SIA embarked on a two-day publicity campaign to create awareness about SIA Singapore stop-over holidays.

SIA hired a six-door stretch limousine which cruised around the city with a team of six staffers, singers and a juggler and distributed souvenirs. The holiday packages are designed exclusively for SIA passengers and offer hotel accommodation, airport transfers and optional tours at an all inclusive price of US 30.

Congress activist passes away

Senior Congress activist and social worker, Kokilaben Oza, expired today. Former Senate member of the SNDT University and attached to various Mahila Mandals, Oza will be remembered for her selfless service to the society and upliftment of women, a release said.

WR holiday specials

Western Railwaywill run one AC Holiday special train 965 DN between Mumbai Central and Jaipur on April 7. The train which will have halts at Borivli, Surat, Vadodara, Ahemedabad, Mehsana, Abu Road, Falna, Marvar Junction and Ajmer, will leave Mumbai Central at 11 pm. Booking for the train started from April 4.
