Pond8217;s contest for women

Cosmetic company Pond8217;s will hold the Pond8217;s Women Of Tomorrow contest, which aims to celebrate womanhood and laud young women with dreams 8211; with a goal and purpose in life8217;. Participants between the age of 15-22 years can send in entries through advertisements to the publication in their region.

Participants can send in details of their ambitions, achievements and future plans towards fulfiling their ambitions. Each publication will shortlist entries on the basis of guidelines, and the entries will be judged by a panel of judges.

Eleven finalists from all publication groups will be chosen to be the Pond8217;s Women of Tomorrow. Each will receive a prize of Rs 50,000. One final Pond8217;s Woman of the New Millennium will be chosen, who will receive a prize worth Rs 100,000.

Marriage meet at King8217;s Circle

The Mumbai Brahmana Pragati Parishad will hold a marriage meet8217; at the South Indian Education Society8217;s High School, K A Subramaniam Road, behind King8217;s Circle railwaystation, on April 25 at 11 am. Those interested can register by April 18 at the South Indian Bhajan Samaj, Telang Road, Matunga from Monday to Saturday between 6 and 7.30 pm; or at SIES school at K A Subramaniam Rd, Matunga on Sundays from 3 to 6 pm.

Help for visually handicapped

Vikas, a visually handicapped student, is preparing for his TY BA exams to be held in May. Vikas needs volunteers to come to his place in Girgaon and can type out his notes for him on the computer.
