Water cut in Dharavi

Water supply in parts of Dharavi will be affected due to the fixing of a 1200 mm diameter line to seperate the water supply of Sion, Matunga and Dharavi on May 12. The Dhorwada and Koliwada in Dharavi will not receive evening supply of water on May 12 and morning water supply on May 13 will be delayed. Moreover water supply to F/North and F/South wards on May 13, 1998 will be given at lower pressure than normal.

IPA president elected

Former executive vice-president and board member of Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, P D Sheth, has been elected president of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association for a three-year term from April 1998 to March 2000. Other vice-presidents of the association are Dr J K Lalla, C Gopalakrishnan Murty, C K Kokate, Brijesh Regal. The honorary general secretary is Dr M K Raina, while the honorary treasurer is S D Joag, Pharma Times8217; editor will be K S Desai, and the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences8217; editor is Dr Rao.

Deonarabbatoir closed on Monday

ALL the slaughtering units at Deonar abbatoir will remain closed on May 11, 1998 on account of Buddha Purnima, according to press release.
