
Meet on pre-school admissions, PTA
The Forum for Fairness in Education has organised two public meetings on October 27 and 28 on the strict enforcement of Parent Teacher Association PTA and neighbourhood admissions for pre-school children based on Supreme Court orders. The forum will be filing two writ petitions in the Bombay High Court next month on the subjects. The meetings will be held between 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm at Rajpuria Baug, Navinbhai Thakker Road, Vile Parle E. On October 27, the fee hike, rights and duties of PTA will be debated, while pre-school admission based on the neighbourhood concept will be discussed on October 28.
Suburban housing scheme

Hike to the Sahayadris
Chakram Hikers has organised an expedition to the Sahayadris from December 18 to 22. The Igatpuri-Bhandardara region will be covered from Kalsubai, the highest peak, and then onto Alanggad, Madangad and Kulanggad. The trek will be made by five batches, each consisting of 25 participants in the age group of 12 to 60 years.
